At Midtown Windows we
manufacture accurate reproductions of wood double-hung traditionally glazed
and counterbalanced windows for: • historic restorations • room/building additions • residential and commercial restorations/repairs • fire or water damage Existing old glass or stained/leaded glass panels can be reinstalled in a new window unit to match others in a building that do not need replaced. Many historic districts have adopted the policy of requiring “like with like” replacement. Our windows meet these requirements because we do not use vinyl jamb liners or other friction devices to hold the sashes - just simple counterbalances with sash pullies and a cotton sash cord.
